I'm Theo, a Maths graduate offering tutoring across South-West London and online. I specialise in 11+ and 13+ preparation, and also teach GCSE and A-Level Maths and Economics. Sessions are tailored to each student — whether that's building core exam technique for entrance exams or strengthening understanding for GCSE and A-Level coursework.
I was educated at Thomas’s Fulham before receiving an academic scholarship to Royal Alexandra and Albert School at 11+. Following that, I attended Cheltenham College before undertaking Bsc Mathematics at Newcastle University. I am now a Msc Financial Mathematics Student at King’s College London, with goals of a career in Quantitative Finance.
My passion for teaching started when I was awarded a scholarship by Newcastle University to research and employ teaching methods that are most effective around the world. When I went to implement my methods, it was a joy to see students learning from my teaching, and understanding things they hadn’t before. Outside of the academic world, I love cricket and went to Australia this winter to play! I also enjoy cooking, reading and music.

My Approach
I specialise in preparing students for 11+ and 13+ examinations, with a particular focus on mathematics. My approach goes beyond drilling past papers and memorising methods - I make sure every student genuinely understands the material they're working with. In my experience, students who understand why a method works don't just perform better under exam pressure - they're faster, more flexible, and far less likely to freeze when a question looks unfamiliar. I teach each concept from the ground up, using visual and intuitive explanations that make abstract ideas feel concrete and manageable. The goal is always the same: a student who walks into their exam not just prepared, but confident - because they actually understand what they're doing, not just how to do it
