My approach
Most students who underperform aren't struggling with the ideas. They're struggling with the way they've been introduced. I don't just drill past papers and teach students what to do - I make sure they genuinely understand the material they're working with. Students who understand why something works are faster, more confident, and far less likely to freeze when a question looks unfamiliar.
That applies whether we're working on a maths problem, a comprehension exercise, or a verbal reasoning paper. The goal is always the same: a student who walks into their exam not just prepared, but confident.
About Me
I'm Theo, a Mathematics graduate offering one-to-one tutoring across South-West London and online, specialising in 11+ and 13+ preparation alongside GCSE and A-Level Mathematics.
I was educated at Thomas's Fulham before winning an academic scholarship to Royal Alexandra and Albert School at 11+. I went on to Cheltenham College and then Newcastle University, where I studied Mathematics, graduating at the top of my class in linear analysis and stochastic financial modelling. During my time there I was awarded a university scholarship to research and implement the world's most effective teaching methods in Cyprus. Seeing students understand things they hadn't before, because of how something was explained, is what made me want to keep teaching. I am currently completing an MSc in Financial Mathematics at King's College London.
Outside the classroom, I play cricket competitively - including a tour to Australia this past winter - and I'm genuinely passionate about making mathematics feel as intuitive and satisfying as it should be.
